Join
us on a dog sledding adventure!
We believe this morning tour is the best for those who
really want to enjoy the amazing nature and wildlife in Lapland!
Would you like to mush your own dog team of huskies?
On this tour you drive a smaller sled dog team
together with your friend (age above 16).
With
us you have the chance to learn more about the life as a
sled dog driver.
We’ll pick you up from the
Tourist Information (towns centre) in Kiruna and take you to our kennel 30 km west of
Kiruna.
We
might see moose and reindeers along the road
and if the weather is clear we will enjoy views of Kebnekaise,
Sweden’s highest mountain and one of its most photographed. When we reach the kennel we will be warmly welcomed by our
sled dogs.
An experienced guide leads the
adventure. Before
the tour we learn you all about how to manage the sled and
which commands we use. Then we select the dogs and
together we put harnesses on the dogs.
Once we are on our way everything is suddenly
quiet. The only thing that can be heard is the sound of the dogs
running in the soft snow and you can enjoy the scenic surroundings. The tour leads us along a river valley surrounded by low
mountains.
We take a break in the tour for
an outdoor lunch and talk about our experience as mushers!
Note! Your age must be above 16 to participate
on this tour.

Words

"I
would like to share the wonderful experience Niclas
and his lovely dogs gave us for our husky tour. We did
the 1 day tour of driving your own team of husky's.
I
would thrilled with how friendly and keen all the dogs
were and how much fun we had. I would
highly recommend driving your own team and my only
regret was we didn't have time for another day."

" It was great and
everything passed off very quietly and was well
organised, including the clothing. And we also saw,
thanks to you and our fellow passengers, one moose on
the way there and three mooses on the way back."
Elja,
The Netherlands
